About The Artist
Sveto Manev (b. 1945, Sveti Nikole) is a Macedonian painter. He graduated from the Academy of Applied Arts in Belgrade in 1970. He is an active member of DLUM (Association of Artists of Macedonia) and one of the founders of the art group “77”.
His oeuvre has been recognized throughout his career, with notable accolades including the “Lazar Ličenoski” Award for Painting (1995), awards from the Museum of Contemporary Art – Skopje, and the “Petar Mazev” Award from DLUB. Manev has completed study stays in England, Greece, and Poland.
