Božidar Damjanovski

Božidar Damjanovski (born 1947 in Skopje) is an exceptionally prolific Macedonian painter who currently lives and works in Belgrade.

He began his art education in Skopje before graduating (1972) and completing his postgraduate studies (1975) in painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Belgrade. Damjanovski works across various media, including painting, drawing, graphics, and Digital Art. He has held approximately 50 solo exhibitions and participated in over 600 group exhibitions across Macedonia and internationally (including Los Angeles, New York, Beijing, and Rome). His success is underscored by 34 national and international awards. He has been recognized as one of the 15 most important contemporary Yugoslav painters of the late 20th century. His work often explores themes from ancient civilizations, drawing parallels between the past and the present.
