About The Artist
Sergej Andreevski (born in 1960 in Skopje) is a distinguished Macedonian painter who graduated from the Faculty of Fine Arts in Skopje in 1985. His career is defined by intense international activity, featuring numerous scholarships and study residencies in global art hubs.
Andreevski has held residencies in Rome, Nuremberg, Paris (Cité des Arts), Wisconsin (USA), Tokyo, Istanbul, Scotland, Egypt, and Tunis. These experiences have deeply enriched his work, which has been showcased in major solo exhibitions in Skopje, Japan, New York (at Lincoln Center’s Cork Gallery), Frankfurt, London, and Moscow. He has also participated in prestigious group shows, such as the International Painting Biennial in Sofia and the Triennale in Shenzhen, China. Andreevski is considered an artist whose work is deeply rooted in Macedonian culture while maintaining a strong international presence.
