Miro Masin

Miroslav (Miro) Mašin (born in 1963 in Niš) is a prominent Macedonian painter, known for his bohemian spirit and distinctive expressionist style.

Throughout his 40-year career, Mašin has dedicated himself entirely to painting, exploring the complex interaction between man and nature. His canvases frequently feature grotesque figures, monkeys, birds, and his own hybrid creatures, through which he explores deep existential and social issues like the human condition and its illusions. In addition to painting, he is known for several installations and performances (such as “Monkey-Man-Monkey”). His work is highly regarded for its sincerity and originality, and his pieces are held in museum and private collections. Miro Mašin is one of the rare artists who has successfully devoted his entire life exclusively to his painting career.
